Bad Weather Conditions
If bad weather necessitates closing of the school, we will notify families either by phone or e-mail. In case of a tornado or other severe weather conditions during school hours, a campus-wide emergency response procedure will be in place to ensure your child's safety. Once severe conditions pass, parents will be notified.
When a student is absent, the parent should call the office that day to let the Academy know or email the office (and the teachers). Absences for travel purposes should be given at least one week in advance. Absences without notice from the parent will be considered unexcused. Unexcused absences will result in a zero in all classes. Excessive unexcused absences can result in dismissal from the school. No refunds will be made on tuition fees.
The student will be marked tardy if they are not in class when the class begins.
Holy Days and Holidays

All withdrawals from school must go through the Imperial Academy office.
Boys and girls at Imperial Academy are expected to uphold a high standard of dress and hygiene. To this end, extremes in dress and hair are not permitted. Imperial Academy students will wear school uniforms. No jeans are allowed. No stiletto heels for the girls. No flip-flops. Hair must be well-groomed. No colored or dyed hair.
- Boys should wear a white collared shirt; shirts must be tucked in at all times. No baggy slacks. Belts are recommended with navy blue slacks, but not required.
- Girls should wear white collared blouses and navy blue skirts. Skirts must cover the knee when sitting. Skirt and collared shirt must not be tight-fitting. Skirt slits are not to be higher than the bottom of the knee. Two sets of earrings are permissible, worn in the ear lobes only.
Students are expected to behave in a manner consistent with the standards of the Philadelphia Church of God. The Church expects adherence to all appropriate behavior outlined in the Bible, most notably the Ten Commandments.
Discipline will begin with the teacher's particular classroom procedures. If further measures are needed, the teacher will contact the parent(s) and turn matters over to the Imperial Academy administration.
Since it takes time to grow and develop in godly character, the Imperial Academy administration will do all that it can to keep students where they can stay and pursue their education. However, in order to protect the interest of the Imperial Academy environment as a whole, certain behaviors will not be tolerated and might be a cause for expulsion. Examples of such conduct include, but are not limited to the following:
- Sexual misconduct
- Drunkenness and/or use of illegal drugs or smoking
- Possession of alcohol and/or illegal drugs on school premises
- Cheating or plagiarism - or any form of student dishonesty
- Lewd or indecent conduct
- Malicious destruction of Imperial Academy, Herbert W. Armstrong College, or Philadelphia Church of God property
- Stealing or lying
- Physically abusing another individual in school or around school property and community
- Persistent violations of Imperial Academy conduct, regulations, and rules
- Failure to comply with written or oral directives given by Imperial Academy Administration and other officials.
Imperial Academy reserves the right to expel any student who does not comply with school conduct, regulations, and rules.
Class Trips and Field Trips
There will be class field trips provided occasionally throughout the school year as they pertain to educational development. Some may be recorded or posted, but we encourage parents to try and take their children out on educational field trips during this time as well.

If there are any students who have or will require special needs, please contact the Imperial Academy administrator.
Oklahoma Educational Standards
Imperial Academy will use Oklahoma's Priority Academic Students Skills (pass) as a reference to ensure that Imperial Academy is including everything the Oklahoma Educational Standards suggest and more. For more detail about Oklahoma's educational standards, please log on to: sde.state.ok.us
Lunch time for grades 7-12 will be from 12:15-12:55 p.m. Students can chat with other students via the Cafeteria page on the student homepage during this time.
Address or Phone Number Change
Any time an address or phone number (home or work) changes, please notify the Imperial Academy office.
Parent-teacher conferences will be held two to three times a year, with the first being held in the fall of the school year. It is highly recommended that both parents attend if possible.
Please feel free to consult with the school office regarding any problems or questions that concern your child. It is a service to both parent and student, and each teacher welcomes a visit from any parent. We do urge however, that such conferences be made by appointment at a convenient after-school hour.
Parents are welcome to sit in on the classes at Imperial, however we do ask that the teacher be given prior notice. Parents may be asked to appear on camera.
